Calvary Ryde Retirement Community Civil and Utilities Works
- July 27, 2020
TOBCO recently commenced works on a significant combined Civil and Utilities project in Ryde NSW for ICON on behalf of Calvary Ryde Retirement Community.
The project involves electrical asset relocation to include 250m excavation, conduit and cable installation, removing 500m of existing overhead bare mains and stringing 250m of new overhead insulated mains.
This is complemented with the permanent restoration scope to simultaneously upgrade the surrounding public domain area, introducing over 450m of new 3.5m wide shared concrete footpath, which will not only immensely improve the day to day travel of the local residents of Calvary Ryde Retirement Community but will also benefit and improve the movements of the general public along this section of Victoria Road.
The electrical portion of this project will be executed in compliance with Ausgrid standards and will be integrated into the Ausgrid network on completion. The public domain works will be in accordance with City of Ryde Council standards, who will acquire and maintain the footpath in the future.
TOBCO anticipate completing the project over a 4-month period, whilst maintaining full pedestrian access and movement throughout the area at all times.
TOBCO will deliver this project utilising TOBCO’s own people and plant illustrating the fact that TOBCO can self-perform multiple disciplines within the construction industry.
TOBCO will provide updates throughout the project and is looking forward to delivering this work for both our returning clients in ICON and City of Ryde Council.
