About TOBCO

TOBCO is a Civil & Electrical Infrastructure company with a robust presence across NSW. TOBCO has also performed several Projects across Queensland, South Australia and Victoria. As a privately-owned entity, our owners bring forth years of invaluable experience from several of Australia’s significant infrastructure projects. Our Managing Director having held senior executive positions within National Businesses before founding TOBCO back in 2012.
We take pride in our hands-on, self-performing approach. Specialising in small to medium-sized construction projects valued up to $50M, our expertise particularly shines in utility infrastructure. As an Accredited Service Provider in NSW, we are authorised to work within Ausgrid, Endeavour Energy, and Essential Energy’s networks, alongside holding RMS prequalification for work on roads, bridges, and traffic signals.

Our capabilities are diverse in nature but are set around a set of core skills and attitude. By employing people directly and owning our own plant and equipment we are uniquely placed amongst our peer competitors as we employ qualified tradespeople alongside labourers, truck drivers and operators. Further to that we are backed by our Project Management staff and administration support. All of this is enshrined in our third-party accredited systems and processes that allow us to deliver major projects along with the small, fast and quick projects for our clients. In the Renewable space we have delivered some very large and remote projects on several occasions by adopting this approach of self- performing alongside an investment in specialised plant and equipment. 
The foundation of TOBCO was always based on a Can-Do attitude and working out solutions to complex problems but also our ability to be able to get the work done. This stands us apart from larger companies that have lost their ability to deliver projects quickly.
The business started out trading as Australian High Voltage in the early days as we focused on Electrical Infrastructure. However, after a few years we found the business diversifying into many other areas of civil construction and also branching into Maintenance and ITS work. At this point we changed our Trading name to TOBCO, this reflected our more generic nature of doing work in several fields. We did for some years have a separate sister company in OTG ENERGY that focused purely on engineering and delivery ion the renewable energy space. In 2024 we have folded that business and deliver renewable energy projects under the one banner of TOBCO.
Recently TOBCO underwent a strategic restructuring, integrating the Electrical Services and Communications business units through the merger with Spaceage Electrics Pty Ltd, bringing over 25 years of electrical expertise in the commercial, industrial, and residential sectors.
A further significant milestone was the integration of senior management acquiring substantial stakes in the business, reinforcing a decade of growth and a renewed commitment to elevating TOBCO to new heights.

TOBCO is a member of NECA – the National Electrical and Communications Association, the peak body representing the electrical and communications contracting industry across Australia. Our association date backs to 2013. During that time we have won several industry awards for excellence in project delivery. In 2016 we were recognised as one of Australia’s fastest growing private companies being ranked 3rd nationally in the annual AFR Fastest 100 starters.
